Ingredents: 2 tbsp mustard oil5 cardamoms2-3 bayleaves3 tbsp ginger juice1 cup onion paste200 ml water1 tbsp red chilli paste? tbsp turmeric1 cup grated coconutsalt to taste2 tsp sugar500 gm prawns? cup prawn stock
Method: Shell, devein and wash the prawns.For the stock, boil shells for 10-15 minutes.Make a paste of the ginger juice, red chilli paste and the turmeric. Mix water and the coconut, blend and squeeze out the milk.Fry the cardamoms and the bayleaves. Add the onion paste. Cook till brown. Add chilli paste and cook on low heat.Add salt, sugar and the prawn stock. Cook till the mixture thickens. Add the prawns and cook till tender. Add the coconut milk. Cook until it boils.Serve with rice.
