Today's Recipe - Meen Murringakka Curry

Ingredents: Marination3 sardinessalt to taste? tsp turmeric powderPaste? grated coconut2 tsp chopped garlic1 tsp chilli powder1 small ball tamarindFor the Preparation2 tbsp coconut oil? tsp fenugreek seeds1 sliced onion1 tsp chopped ginger2 sliced green chillies5-6 curry leaves1 cup water6 pc drumstickssalt to tasteFor Tempering1 tsp coconut oil? tsp mustard seeds5 no shallots1 whole red chilli

Method: Marinate the sardines in salt and turmeric powder for ? hour. Grind coconut, garlic, chilli powder and tamarind to a fine paste. Heat oil in pan and crackle fenugreek seeds. Add onions, chopped ginger, green chillies and curry leaves. Saut?a> till onions turn brown. Add paste. Add water and drumsticks. Cook drumsticks till done. Add salt. Add marinated fish. Cook for 5 minutes. Temper with coconut oil, mustard seeds, shallots and an intact red chilli. Serve hot with rice.
