Ingredents: 1 kg pomfret, sole or singhara-scaled and gutted and sliced diagonally into 1? thick slices2 tbsp lemon juice1 tsp saltgreen coconut chutney6-8 soft banana leavesfrying pan with a thin layer of oil water-as requiredvinegar-as required
Method: Marinate the fish with lemon juice and salt for 10 minutes and wash off.Discard the backbone of the leaf. Cut into pieces large enough to seal each piece of fish by wrapping it around. Take a piece of leaf, place a piece of fish over it and cover fish completely with a layer of the chutney on all sides. Bring the edges of the leaf together to fold over the fish, and seal well. Tie with a thin thread and keep aside. Heat the oil in the frying pan, lower the heat and arrange the fish packages in a single layer. Cook over low heat for 1 minute and flip over. Sprinkle with water and vinegar, cover and cook for about 10 minutes, turning once in between. Serve hot, removing the thread.
