Ingredents: Prawn Malai Curry8 prawns, deshelled and deveined3 cups coconut milk1 ? tbs ghee3 whole green chillies slit? tsp onion seeds? tsp turmeric? tsp red chilli powder? tsp sugar3 tsp creamSalt to tasteTo marinate:? tsp ginger garlic paste? tsp lemon juice1 tbs turmeric powderSalt to taste
Method: Marinate the prawns with salt, ginger garlic juice, turmeric powder and lemon juice and set aside. To make the gravy, heat half the ghee in a heavy bottomed pan. Add onion seeds and the slit green chillies. Add turmeric and red chilli powder. Cook for sometime and remove from heat. Add coconut milk and put back on very slow flame. Allow to cook, stirring from time to time. Add salt and sugar. Keep aside.Heat another pan, put the remaining ghee. Add the prawns. Sautee for sometime. Now add the saut? prawns to the gravy. Add cream and cook till the prawns are done.
